I’m still playing MW2, on and off.
When i finally get into a game i find it full of 1887’s, noobtubes and people who play every gametype as if it were TDM. Not to mention the lag spikes, poor connection, whiney kids calling people out for nothing, rank hacks, texture hacks, aimbots and wallhacks.
Then we get no release notes for patchs, next to no action on the official forums from 402 or the dev team.
For fuck sake IW, PLEASE do something about it.
Ahh well, atleast i have L4D2 now, £20 in GAME if any brits are interested.
As you may be aware, our very own PST*Joker has made assertions on BASH that the MP AC130 and several other MW2 features were influenced (without any recognition) by him and other PC modders.
A few hours ago, I saw a Tweet go out from a community member suggesting that Joker issue a takedown notice of Infinity Ward’s AC130 MP vid on YouTube.
“@pstjoker I just thought you should send youtube a DMCA take down notice regarding the #MW2 AC130 video. See how youtube responds.” (@therealrudedog)
I think Joker took up the idea and I can only assume he’s more surprised than anyone that a few minutes ago YouTube yanked IW’s AC130 video right off IW’s official channel.
I’ve mentioned before that MW2 has been like a marriage breakup between PC gamers and IW. Now, this has all the earmarks of a messy divorce.
By the way, I certainly don’t envy Fourzerotwo in any of this — as if he doesn’t have enough on his hands. All of this seems very unfortunate all the way round.
Just a few minutes ago I spoke to PST*Joker and apparently he did make the takedown claim and YouTube did take down the original official video from their IW channel. Joker forwarded this reply from IW’s community manager:

YES, thats right the hardened editions bonus DVD has been leaked. THIS IS NOT THE GAME, it is the bonus dvd full of HD Trailers, Ringtones, and Wallpapers amungst oter things.
I expect the actual game to be released pretty soon tho, will keep you updated.
Smart consumers are taking advantage of various offers at retail to buy Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for less than half the recommended retail price.
The publisher has been heavily criticised for pushing up the console RRP of the latest from Infinity Ward to £54.99, but a cut-throat retail market is providing consumers with a number of options to avoid paying the inflated price.
UK retailer Gamestation is currently offered the game for £4.99 if a consumer trades in two games from a list that includes WET, Overlord II and Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. With Play.com selling Overlord II for just £9.99, users on website hotukdeals have already begun buying two copies of the Codemasters’ title and trading it in for a pre-ordered copy Modern Warfare 2.
Online retailers are currently offering the basic Modern Warfare game for around £45, but all eyes will be on the supermarkets, which have already slashed two big releases – FIFA 2010 and Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising – in order to grab sales.
Last week, ASDA admitted that it sells some games at a loss because “customers continue to tell us that computer games are an expensive product in today’s economic climate so we are working hard to try and offer them consistently good value for money within the games category”.

So i’m hearing on the grapevine that the .iso for the Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare2 has been leaked. If you have a modified console, then i should think you’ll be interested. Out of respect of the person who sent me a torrent file to it 9thanks again buddy) i’m not sending it out, BUT good old google wporks wonders. It appears peopel have upready uploaded it to rapidshare/hotfile etc. Go check it out.
So it seems Kiwidoggie from TeamCaniniek9 has been busy, many props to him for getting these videos up. If you are reading this, how about some videos showign off these new perks ;P

Feb 18th 2010: I have done some theme updating, and now we are running the Pro version of Clean Home theme with a few custom edits. This is now much better looking that the free version we we running. :)
