MW2 BestBuy Live Chat – Overview

Here is the basic rundown of what was extracted form the livechat.
- The max number of players will be 9v9.
- IW thinks the petition is pretty much a joke.
- They claim not to have thought at all about DLC as of yet.
- You can’t kick people from ranked servers. They think the mute button and anti-cheat will be enough.
- They claim hey haven’t thought about PC modding yet.
- No record mode for demos
- Only TDM and SD hardcore playlists on launch
- No leaning around corners. ( Q + E buttons)
- No console (no custom config files etc)

Mackey-IW: No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.

That whol chat was a joke.. first off they limited to 300 users and almost everyone had trouble getting in.. (I finally got in as a guest [not my logged in name so no questions] after repeated refreshes thanks to opera’s refresh every xx secs feature)
Most of the answers skirted the actual question asked.. and basically refreshed the previous BS that fourzerotwo and IW has already tried to force down our throats.
there is much more, 9v9 max, no lean, no console, etc. but the bottom line, after seeing this chat, is this game is useless and dead on the PC platform. Its 99.8% made for the console gamer and with that in mind, I will NOT be buying it. ever.

Steve, you make some good points. I agree with you, but i also want to see it through their eyes.
IW is a company, and they do hold some professionalism to them, i have to respect their decision at least to try an implement this IW.net They must think that it will be beneficial to the gamer, in terms of in-game experience.
Sure, the 9v9 is going to piss me off, and i guess there is time to time where i use lean, but these things aren’t going to destroy the game completely. No matter what we do, there will be people that will buy the game and play it, i being one of those. Sure, i am dissapointed, and somewhat pissed off, but still i have been following this game since i heard about it’s development and want to play it.
This is me speaking from a person who is not part of the moding community or the clan community. I just enjoy to play the game for what it is, a way of blowing some heads off, and as we can clearly see through all the leaks and development hints that we have been given, there will be some great ways to kill people now.
I do wish that there could have been more explanation on the whole Skill matching, i enjoy it at times when i clearly dominate the board, and i enjoy it sometimes when i can piss off a leader by being his nemesis. Ensuring that even though i’m not getting top frags, i’m getting him angry by killing him constantly. For me at times it’s the unbalance of the game which balances it. The challenge of the fight, or the slaughter of the lambs, so i guess we will just have to wait and see when the game comes out.
A couple of days are left, and we hopefully will get a bit more info or talking from 402 or IW, but for now. I see that there will be a large gamer base for this, and it’s mainly the Clans and Modders of the game that have gotten hit hard.

This is an utter joke, and to think I was considering to buy MW2. HAH NO WAY!
